1. Customer Eligibility
- Anyone can become a customer on Skutus.
- To make purchases or interact with sellers, users must register an account.
- Students can verify their profile using their school ID card.
- Non-students and graduates can verify through a valid identification or address.
2. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate information when registering (name, email, phone number, and location).
- Students should use their school location as their address, while graduates or others can use their home or store address.
- Accounts found to contain false information may be restricted or suspended.
3. Order and Payment Process
To ensure fairness and safety, Skutus uses a secured payment holding system:
- When you place an order and make payment, the money is temporarily held by Skutus.
- The payment is released to the seller only after you confirm that your goods have been received and are in good condition.
- This protects both the buyer and the seller from fraud or misunderstandings.
- If you fail to confirm receipt after delivery, Skutus may automatically release payment after 7 days (for local orders) or 21 days (for international orders), if no complaint is reported.

4. Delivery Policy
- Local deliveries (within the same country) must be completed within 7 days.
- Cross-country or international deliveries should be completed within 21 days.
- Always track your order and contact the seller through the Skutus messaging system for updates.
5. Refund Policy
- You can request a refund if:
- The product was not delivered,
- The product was damaged, or
- The product does not match the description.
- Refund requests must be made within 3 to 5 business days after delivery.
- Once your claim is verified, Skutus will refund your payment directly to your wallet or linked account.
- False refund claims or abuse may result in account restrictions.

6. Security and Privacy
Your personal and financial data are fully encrypted and protected.
We use secure payment processors like Paystack for all transactions.
Skutus will never share your information with unauthorized parties.

7. Communication and Disputes
- Always communicate with sellers through the Skutus messaging system.
- If there’s any misunderstanding, contact our Support Team to help resolve the issue.
- Skutus acts as a neutral mediator to ensure both parties are treated fairly.
8. Product Quality and Authenticity
- Customers should review product descriptions, images, and ratings carefully before buying.
- If a seller misrepresents a product, report the seller immediately to Skutus Support.
- We monitor all seller activities and remove counterfeit or fraudulent listings.
9. Prohibited Behavior
- Engaging in scams or false refund requests
- Attempting to bypass the Skutus payment system
- Using abusive language towards sellers or staff
- Posting misleading reviews or false complaints
